Builders & Developer Partnerships

Residential design for builders. The drawing has a job to do.

Mark Lynn Design works with builders and developers across Middle Tennessee on custom homes, infill, residential communities, and multi-family projects. From Nashville to Brentwood, Franklin, The Grove, and Troubadour, the office prepares plans with the lot, the budget, and the people building them in view.

A plan has to work beyond the presentation.

It has to help the builder price the work. It has to communicate the design clearly. It has to make sense on the lot and support the way the home will be lived in after the sale.

That is the starting point for developer partnerships at Mark Lynn Design. The office brings more than 2,600 homes, over eight million square feet of residential design, and more than forty multi-family projects to the conversation.

One home, an infill site, or a community.

The work ranges from individual custom and developer homes to residential communities and multi-family projects. Different sites and scales call for different drawing scopes; they share the need for clear decisions and coordinated information.

Bring the site, the intended product, the working budget, and the schedule. Tell us what has been decided and what is still open, including the home sizes, desired layouts, exterior direction, and the team already involved.

From floor plans to construction drawings.

The Design division prepares floor plans, elevations, permit sets, and full construction-ready packages with details and consultant coordination. The drawing scope is established for the project.

Revisions are part of the work. A builder may see a better construction approach; the client may see a better plan. The office works through those decisions while they are still drawings.

Selections with the investment in view.

Mark Lynn Interiors works on finishes, fixtures, lighting, cabinetry direction, tile, stone, hardware, paint, and procurement. For a builder or developer, those choices affect both the finished home and the budget.

Design and Interiors can work together or separately. Established vendor relationships and pricing experience help the team discuss the choices in practical terms.

Begin with the next site.

Send the property location, survey or available site information, project type, expected scale, working budget, and timing. Include existing drawings if the project is already underway.

The first conversation establishes the scope and the information needed to move forward. Meetings are by appointment at the Nashville studios.
